You may have regretted giving up as a child, or are just looking to improve your posture, muscle flexibility and all-round health with the one of the most disciplined forms of exercise. Classes will be relaxed and informative providing a sound knowledge of basic technique. the course will have great benefits such as Improving co-ordination, posture, toning the body, strengthening and lengthening of muscles and musicality. It will be held in one of Dancework’s lovely studios in complete privacy with a small number of participants to ensure that you gain the most benefit possible from the 8-week course. Since 1982 Danceworks has been one of Europe’s leading dance studios with over 130 drop-in classes a week in Ballet, Contemporary, Commercial and World Dance. We are located in the heart of London, only a couple of minutes from Bond Street Tube opposite the iconic Selfridges main entrance.||
Course content will include (but not limited to) :
Greta was born and grew up in Oxford, and started dancing at the young age of 3 at her local dance school. At 13 she won a place at the Royal Ballet School in London where she studied and graduated in 2007. During her time at the Royal Ballet School Greta danced with the Royal Ballet in ballets such at The Nutcracker, Sylvia, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty as well as annual performances and special events such as a gala performance at Buckingham Palace.
During her professional career Greta danced with Dortmund Ballet Theatre and Corella Ballet and her commercial credits are the Pilates training video ‘Turning Out Dancers’ with Dreas Reyneke and the short dance film ‘Autumn Whirl’ with Zsolti Szabo.
Greta is currently working as a dance and fitness teacher in the London and Reading areas. Teaching credits include working for the Reading University Dance Society, teaching young adults, many of whom are beginners to ballet, teaching private ballet classes at Danceworks and fitness classes at David Lloyd, Sportspark and CHF Fitness Club.
Greta loves teaching and loves to spread the joys of dance and fitness that she enjoys herself. Her belief is that anyone can enjoy dance and that classes should feel inclusive and friendly whilst working to achieve our goals.
