Regardless of whether you have never danced (outside of your bedroom), or have been inspired by dance shows on TV but don’t know where to start, or if you just want to learn something new and get fit doing it …  welcome to Danceworks !

You may worry that dance studios are full of perfect bodies and brilliant professionals and you will feel out of place and looked-down on. That will not be your experience at Danceworks. We pride ourselves on being accessible to everyone from complete beginners to advanced professionals, and we provide classes for all levels. From the moment you step through our door you will be made to feel welcome by our friendly, helpful reception team, who can advise you on the best classes to fulfill your dance and fitness aims. Come on your own, with friends or partner – we will find the right class for you.

Advice for beginners dancers (more to read in our FAQ section)

1) How to choose the right class?
We offer a very wide variety of dance and fitness styles and levels at Danceworks and it can be hard to know what to try. When choosing a class consider these points:– What are my goals (fitness, learn new skills, fun)?– What level is appropriate for me? – What days and times work into my schedule?Then consult the Classes – Daily Schedule for class descriptions, levels and current class times. We are very happy to provide assistance. You can always ask one of our helpful and knowledgeable Reception staff, and you can book an appointment for a free personal consultation. 2) What to wear during the class?
There is no specific dress code. If you’re trying a class for the first time, wear something comfortable and loose fitting you can move freely in. Feel free to ring or call in to ask Danceworks staff if you’re not sure what to wear – or if you have any other questions.3) What will happen on your first visit?
When you visit Danceworks for the first time, you will be registered into our system at our Reception. You will be issued a ‘drop-in’ Membership Card which will be swiped-in to ensure a quick check-in for future visits. Daily membership fees are paid at Reception. If it is your first visit and it’s in a peak time, please allow an extra 10 minutes for registration.4) Relax and Enjoy!
