In Conversation with Thomas Brodie-Sangster

 

Danceworks proudly presents an In Conversation with renowned film and TV actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster, at which he will launch his late grandmother’s book Petrova and the Swan.

Thomas Brodie-Sangster is best known for his role of Jojen Reed in Game of Thrones and of Newt in The Maze Runner, and as a child actor in Love Actually. In addition to being an accomplished actor, Thomas is also a talented musician playing both guitar and Bass, which he had to learn left handed for the role of Paul McCartney in the film Nowhere Boy. Thomas will be answering questions, talking about his journey and inspiring the next generation as well as signing copies of the book. 

   

Petrova and the Swan

Based on the true story of Thomas’s own mother, Petrova, a young girl finds her love of dance in this illustrated book

Accompanied by a cast of characters Petrova goes on an adventure in order to understand the world of dance. She becomes enchanted with an image she sees on TV of a ballerina portraying a swan. In the end, Petrova finds the courage to learn ballet.
