Class Description

Drawing on her experience with Tavaziva Dance and EDIFICE Dance Theatre. Harriet’s class is an energetic and athletically demanding class which draws inspiration from Release and Limon technique and combines these techniques with fluid sensuality drawn from Ballroom. The class uses grounded fast footwork playing with directions, flow, momentum and attackHer work explores the contrast between gestural accents and a foundation of stability through the pelvis and spine. 

Bio

Exclusively represented by Love Rudeye Agency.. Harriet  Waghorn is a London based choreographer, movement director and performer currently working with Tavaziva and EDIFICE Dance Theatre. She specialises in movement and dance for film and theatre. Whilst primarily working with contemporary dance Harriet has experience working in physical theatre, partnering styles and Latin and Ballroom.

Harriet has choreographed numerous dance films including Netflix Original and BFI Special Presentation ‘Been So Long’ directed by BAFTA winning director Tinge Krishnan in 2018 and worldwide viral dance film’s ‘edifice’ and ‘ABADDON’ directed by Rogerio Silva. Both film’s collectively have over 12 million views winning Vimeo Staff Pick and featuring on Nowness, Vice and Cultura Colectiva. Additionally she has choreographed music videos for Russian artist Ekat Bork, Irish band The Riptide Movement, and British band Sons and Lovers. 

Harriet maintains a strong relationship with contemporary dance as the co-director and choreographer of Arts Council funded “EDIFICE dance theatre” – London’s first hybrid Ballroom and Contemporary dance company. EDIFICE has produced sell out theatre productions and viral film works since 2015. Their work has toured Madrid, Toronto, Rome and throughout the UK. 

As a teacher Harriet has taught for Tavaziva, Balletboyz Dancers Course, Professional company class for EDIFICE Dance Theatre, BCDCY, Imperial University and UAL 

University. Additionaly she is a trained Barrecore instructor.
