Don “Camplbellock” Campbell, Born 7th Jan 1950, is an American dancer and Hip Hop pioneer who created the “locking dance” in the early 1970s. He recorded a song called The Cambellock as well as a dance crews namely The Lockers. Don and his dance crews have performed with some of the greatest people in music and film, such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bill Cosby, Aretha Franklin and Roberta Flack.

Don collected more than 80 credits in his 10 years dance career which included appearances in The Grammys, The Oscars, Saturday Night Live and The Carol Burnett Show. The new generation of street dance has brought back the Campbellock signature moves through clubs, music videos and in the streets. You can see them in music videos such as Britney Spears, Wyclef Jean, Michael Jackson, N’Sync, Busta Rhymes, Mya and Janet Jackson which featured his original steps. Don has appeared in Rennie Harris Puremovement Presents Illdelphi Legends and The Legends of HipHop, The Back to Mecca Conferences, The Bboy Summits, The American Street Dance Championships, The 1st Annual HipHop Dance Awards (Where he was honoured for his accomplishments), The Bboy Pro-Am, The Zulu Nation Anniversary, The USA/World HipHop Dance Championships, Up Jump The Boogie, and more.

Most recently, Don works as an instructor and ambassador around the world including Netherlands, Portugal, UK, Canada, Japan and Germany. He’s also working on a book of his moves and  a film about his life story. He was also honoured at the first ever Hip-Hop conference sponsored by and at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
