Savion Glover is an American tap dancer, choreographer and actor. Glover began taking tap lesson at age seven. After making his Broadway debut at the tender age of 12 alongside Sammy Davis Jr, Savion Glover’s mastery of tap dance soon saw him shoot to fame. Over the years he has worked on a truly diverse range of projects, from pop videos for P Diddy to a film with Spike Lee.  At the age of 19, he became the youngest-ever recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts grant. Glover often starts his pieces by paying homage to legendary tap dancers before working his way into his own style. His has a very rhythmic approach to tap, noting the importance of creating the beat and he generally uses freestyle as a starting point for his choreography. Recently Glover provided choreography and motion capture for the film ‘Happy Feet’.
