Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) becomes a successful actor with the company of his best friend Cosmo Brown (Donald O’Connnor) and a romantic pair is formed with the actress Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen). Lina and Don’s latest film is turned into a musical and Don has the perfect voice for it. However, Lina has troubles with the sharp tune of her voice. Because of this they use a different voice for the singing; they use an actress called Kathy Selden. (Debbie Reynolds). Once Kathy starts working with them, Don soon starts to fall in love with her.
