Hip Hop and Party Dances with
Daniel Nicholson-Hair

Daniel is very passionate about Hip-Hop music, culture and dance. Above all he says “Hip Hop is Peace, Unity Love and Having Fun”. Daniel’s philosophy is reflected in his classes with their energy and party style. Daniel trained in Japan and UK, and has a very good foundation and knowledge of the techniques and history of Hip Hop. Daniel started dancing as a child with classical styles and musical theatre. He discovered his love for street styles and Hip Hop at university. 

This class is all about Hip Hop, grooves and party dances.

Beginners Classical Ballet with
Karis Scarlette

Starts 6th June

Mondays | 5.30pm – 7.00pm | Studio 3 | Beginners | £8

Starting ballet age 2, Karis has over 26 years of training and performing experience. By age 6 she was training with former Royal Ballet dancers on the Royal Opera House ‘Chance to Dance’ program and eventually went on to train at the Royal Ballet School itself. During her training Karis performed with The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet. Karis began teaching aged 22.

Beginner level ballet classes with Karis are challenging and friendly, a great way to enhance your physique, stimulate your mind and build your self confidence.

Solo Latin – Ballroom & Latin Dances with
Gemma Morton

Starts 7th June

Tuesdays | 7.00pm – 8.00pm | Studio 3 | General | £8

Gemma Morton is an ISTD-qualified Ballroom and Latin teacher. With a friendly, professional and encouraging style, she is adept at bringing the best out of every student and passing on her love of Ballroom and Latin dance. She has successfully coached clients through auditions for the London Russian Ball, and trained many couples to success for work and charity events and competitions. Gemma has performed in a variety of shows and events for high-profile clients both in the UK and Europe.

If you’re a Ballroom, Latin or Salsa dancer then this is the class for you…and if you’ve never tried these dances before, you’re sure to fall in love with this elegant and dynamic style.  You will be dancing solo, but learning fundamental technique that is transferable to all of the partner Ballroom and Latin dances.

Power Pilates with
Lucy Potucek

Starts 6th June

Mondays | 7.00pm – 8.00pm | Studio 3 | General | £10
(£5 if you do Beach Body Barre straight after)

Lucy has a background training in ice-skating, gymnastics, skiing, trampolining and ballet. She later trained in more extreme sports such as parkour, climbing and Krav Maga. Lucy teaches and advocates Pilates for all ages and levels.  She knows from her own experience that it keeps the body and mind strong and healthy.

This class has dynamic Matwork that strengthens your core, glutes and arms. It works every muscle in your body to a deeper level.  It’s fantastic for those who are desk bound, have tight or rounded shoulders.

Classical Ballet with
Elena Glurdjidze

Starts 10th June

Fridays | 11.30am – 1.00pm | Studio 10 | Pro | £8

Elena Glurdjidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and began training at age seven at the Arts School, Tbilisi then from age 10 she was accepted into the Choreographic Ballet School. Furthering her training she entered the prestigious Vaganova Academy in St-Petersburg at age 12 as a pupil of the great Russian ballerina Lubov Kunakova who coached her throughout this period developing her into the ballerina she is today. In 2002 Elena joined English National Ballet as a Principal ballerina and was promoted in 2007 to Lead Principal ballerina. Her repertoire included principal roles in Giselle, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Romeo & Juliet, Cinderella, Coppélia, Manon and many more.

Elena was trained at the prestigious Vaganova Academy in St-Petersburg by the great Russian ballerina Lubov Kunakova, her classes are derived and conceived by this same method, nurturing today’s professional dancers and passing down this same style of Russia’s Imperial Ballet, renowned throughout the world.
