Rose Eichenbaum is one of the most respected photojournalists working in the arts today. A former graduate student in Dance Ethnology at UCLA set the ground work for career dadicated to research, photographic documentation and the investigation of artistic creativity trough performance.
Eichenbaum’s photography has been the subject of numerous exhibitions including a national tour hosted by the Smithsonian Institution’s Traveling Exhibitions (2008-2010). She is a regular contributor to Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher and Dance Studio Life Magazine. Rose is an inspirational speaker and educator. She is currently on the faculty of Juia Dean Photographic Workshops, Santa Fe Photographic Workshop, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Woodbury University.
Ms Eichenbaum is also the author of Masters of Movement-Portraits of America’s Great Choreographers (2004) and the “Artist Within Series of books” for Wesleyan University Press: The Dancer Within-Intimate Conversations With Great Dancer (2008), The Actor Within-Intimate Conversations With Great Actors (2011), and The Director Within-Storytellers of Stage and Screen (2014). Eichenbaum’s books have been adopted as important aducational resources by a number of major universities across the country.
