Class Description

HIP HOP, GROOVES AND PARTY DANCES

Daniel is very passionate about Hip-Hop music, culture and dance. Above all else Hip Hop is Peace, Unity Love and Having Fun, and Daniel’s philosophy is reflected in his classes with the energy and party style. The class focuses on the foundations of Hip Hop- grooves, isolations, and party dances along with rhythm training, freestyle and choreography. The music plays all through the first half of the lesson to create a fun upbeat atmosphere. This is followed by breaking down some specific techniques then a routine bringing it all together to finish. The lesson is really a positive way one can truly express themselves and discover the potential they have, while getting a good working and listening to some classic Hip Hop both old and new. The best way to spend your Sunday afternoon.

Biography

Daniel is very passionate about Hip-Hop music, culture and dance. Above all else Hip Hop is Peace, Unity Love and Having Fun, and Daniel’s philosophy is reflected in his classes with there energy and party style. Daniel trained in Japan and UK, and has a very good foundation and knowledge of the techniques and history of Hip Hop. Daniel started dancing as a child with classical styles and musical theatre. He discovered his love for street styles and Hip Hop at University when he went on to lead and teach the Hip Hop society at Oxford Brookes. Since then he has never looked back and continues to teach and inspire throughout the UK. Formerly the resident Hip Hop foundations teacher at IA Studios in Brixton, Daniel now teaches fortnightly at Huskys Studios as well as at Studio68.  He has a strong presence in the street dance community, in both London and Tokyo, Japan.

Daniel is a member of Nori Nori Crew, performing, competing and teaching in the UK. Daniel has taught workshops in 90’s Hip Hop and foundations around UK and most recently has put on Hip Hop events for the community in London to receive an education about the dance. Daniel believes Hip Hop is something you live everyday, through fashion, movement and attitude. It is really a positive way one can truly express themselves and discover the potential they have.
