Class Description

BellyBolly is a fun drop-in class for those who are new to either Bollywood or Belly dance, as well as those who have already trained at both to some level. It focuses on allowing the styles to be fused and amalgamated, combining the sultry style of belly dance with the vibrant, energetic style of Bollywood. Each week we will work on a new routine including basic belly dance techniques and some classic Bollywood moves. We will emphasise and learn how to isolate movements as required in Belly dance and also be able to loosen the muscles as required in Bollywood. The real challenge is being able to switch from one style to the other. Whilst doing this we learn to acquire correct posture, confidence and toning as well as attaining greater flexibility in movement. The hour-long BellyBolly sessions will take place every Monday from 14th January 2013 from 6-7pm.
